What is your booking process?

Our booking process is simple. The first step is to contact us and see if we're available for your wedding date. If we are, the next step is to schedule your hair and makeup trial. We place your wedding date on hold as soon as your trial is booked. After the trial, a deposit and signed contract is due to secure the date permanently. Please get in touch if you have any questions, need to check availability or would like to schedule a trial.

How do I make an inquiry?

Visit our contact page and submit your information. You can also email us directly at info@bridalharmony.com. Please allow for 24-48 hours for a response.

Do you come on location?

Yes! We come to your location on the day of the wedding. We are based in Long Island and serve all of New York City, Nassau County, Suffolk County, The Hamptons and Montauk. We're also available to travel for destination weddings.

How far in advance should I book a trial?

It’s never too early to book a trial. The earlier you contact us the more likely it is that your wedding date is available. Some dates get booked 6-12 months in advance, while others remain open. We recommend having your trial at least several months before your wedding and work on a first-come, first-serve basis.

What can I expect during the trial?

The trial is an opportunity for us to meet, and for you to see your wedding day hair and makeup come together. We will discuss options then try your favorite style or do a variation of it. Once you see how everything looks, we will tweak the features of the style to your liking. In case you're not sure about what you want - this is the perfect time to find out. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appoitment.

How do I prepare for my trial?

We ask that you wash and dry your hair the night before, and come with minimal makeup on, if possible. Use the weeks leading up to the trial to prepare your skin (wax, facial, hydrate, tan, etc.). Anything you plan on doing before the wedding, try to do it before the trial so you can see how it all comes together. Inspiration photos of hair and makeup looks that you like are always helpful. Also, bring any accessories you plan to use on the day of including your veil, hair piece/jewelery, extensions, etc.

Who can I bring to my trial?

Anyone you would like! However, we do ask that you limit your guests to 2-3. Our location can get tight quickly when multiple appointments are happening at the same time.

How do I choose what style I want for my wedding day?

First, don't worry at all! A lot of our brides are unsure about what they want. We suggest searching the web and browsing Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration photos. Look for women with similar features (hair color, hair length, eye shape, skin tone, etc.) to help you get an idea of what styles you like and how they might look on you. If you are still unsure, we are here to help! We can make suggestions and give you advice based on our expertise.

I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis. Is there a way to have my makeup done without looking over the top?

Absolutely! Whether you're an everyday makeup wearer or hardly wear any makeup at all, our goal is to accentuate your features so you look stunning in person and photos - yet unique to yourself. We want you to feel like you, and will spend time during the consultation going over your exact makeup preferences and comfort level.

Can you service a large party or group?

Yes! We can certainly accomodate a large bridal party. Depending on the number of services needed and time available the day of, we may come with assistants or additional hair/makeup artists to make sure everyone is ready on time.

What if I don't know who wants hair and makeup done for my wedding?

We make our schedules based on the numbers you provide for us. At times, this means we book additional hair and makeup artists specifically for your wedding. For this reason, we appreciate an accurate count as soon as possible. Please make asking your bridal party a priority.

What can I expect on the wedding day?

We will come to your getting ready location at an agreed arrival time and begin setting up our stations. If there's a bridal party, we'll meet the girls and start working shortly after. The average time to complete each service is 30 to 45 minutes per bridesmaid, and approxiamtely one hour per service for the bride. We will direct your girls so you don't have to and depending on how many stylists are assigned to your wedding, multiple girls will have their hair/makeup done simultaneously. We take pride in creating a professional yet relaxed environment so you can enjoy the day and have fun as we get you ready to walk down the aisle.

How should we prepare for the wedding day?

Unless discussed otherwise, we ask that everyone comes with clean, dry hair and a makeup-free, moistured face. Wet or damp hair can set us back on time so please remind your bridal party and family to come with completely dry hair.

What do the stylists need on the wedding day?

An ample amount of table space, outlets, regular chairs and natural light (if possible). Apart from that, we provide everything else including high makeup chairs and extra lighting.

How many stylists will be at my wedding?

The number of stylists assigned to your wedding is based on the number of services contracted in combination with the amount of time available to get you ready. If you are unable to give us the time we propose, say due to a venue restriction or need for a shorter getting ready window, then you will need to hire an additional stylist ($100). Please be sure to check with your venue when considering your getting ready location.

Are you able to accomodate last minute people?

We will gladly accommodate last minute people as long as time is available and it doesn’t interfere with the clients and services originally scheduled.

Are you available to stay for touch ups?

Yes! We can stay for touch ups during the wedding. Please note that there is an hourly fee and touch ups are generally not needed as your hair and makeup is designed to hold. However, if you would like to change your hair style for a second look, or have concerns about the weather, we can certainly stay for as long as you need.

Do you have a minimum booking requirement?

There is a $800 minimum to book a wedding for certain dates and locations. However, we do make exceptions for available dates based on proximity so please feel free to check by contacting us.

Do you have travel fees?

Travel fees may be applied depending on your getting ready location. An accurate quote is given once the address is provided.

When is my final balance due?

The final balance is due on or before the wedding date and can be paid in cash, check (made out to Bridal Harmony), credit card, Paypal or Venmo.

Can my bridal party make separate payments?

No. Since we are in contract with only you, the bride, we can only accept one transaction for the balance. If your bridal party is paying for their services, please collect and provide the payments on their behalf.
